What do you think of revlon hair straighteners?

I have shoulder length hair that is frizzy and wavy. I want to get a new hair straightener, and whever I ask for reccommendations, people say Revlon. But which one by revlon is good? Links? Pictures? Thanks!!What do you think of revlon hair straighteners?
Personally I don't have great experiences with drug store brand straighteners because they always tend to dry my hair and leave it wavy. Not to mention that they also tear the ends of your hair which causes split ends. If you really want to fry your hair I recommend using CHI because it leaves your hair feeling glossy, and straight. It also don't break your hair as fast as Revlon straighteners. What do you think of revlon hair straighteners?
I will suggest you to go with GHD hair straightners they are much better and reliable

use CHI it works really really good....but if your hair is frizzy use CHI protector spray.

Conair Hair Straightener vs Revlon Hair Straightener?

Hey i am about to buy a new straightener and narrowed my search down to either the Revlon Perfect Heat 2-in-1 Ceramic Curler and Straightener or the Conair Split-Barrel 1.5'; Iron and Straightener

I was wondering which company is better Revlon or Conair?Conair Hair Straightener vs Revlon Hair Straightener?
They're actually pretty much the same iron.

Alot of those brands are generic, so they're just rebadged for the brand.

PS: if your looking for a straightener, stay away from the ones that curl and straighten! they don't straightne your hair very well, and the curls are more like square-bump looking things that fall out.

If your looking for a conair or a revlon, stick to the basic one like this:

http://www.target.com/Revlon-Perfect-Pro鈥?/a>

Or if you have an Ulta near you, their WIGO products work really well, and they're the same price as Conair's or Revlons:

http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>

and if your looking for a curling iron, the WIGO is a great curling iron too:

http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>

and for ten dollars for a gold plated iron, you can't beat that!Conair Hair Straightener vs Revlon Hair Straightener?
If I had to choose I would go with Conair they've been around sometime and I have a few curling irons and a blow-dryer of there's!! There old but still work good!!! The lady is right Chi's are really nice flat irons..but in my opinion not everyone can afford them and they all do the same thing!!
I would highly recommend the chi yes it is expensive but it is a great investment and it is also better for your hair. I am a hair stylist and i use one every day. I love it.
umm.. baby bliss. baby bliss nano or chi!

buy the one on ebay

I just used this revlon hair straightener..and i burnt my hair!?

thankfully i removed it on time..but loads of hair has fallen...i got this straightener from the us....got the right voltage converter %26amp; stuff...but still this happened..

How gud r revlon straighteners??

%26amp; can my hair grow back????( P.S: my hair grows reeli quicklyt in normal conditions)I just used this revlon hair straightener..and i burnt my hair!?
you mean a flat iron, not like a chemical straightener. Yes, your hair will grow back...I can't explain why this happened, but it does seem like a voltage/high heat problem. You need a straightener with a rheastat...the little dial that turns the temp. down. This may have happened also if your hair isn't in good shape or you've used color on top of color on top of color. If your hair is weak to begin with, it wil burn quicker.I just used this revlon hair straightener..and i burnt my hair!?
everyone has a proper heat setting that works for them without damaging or burning their hair. Make sure you are also watching the chemicals that you use in your hair ( if you use any chemicals). Your hair will grow back so don't worry. Try ceramic flat irons and don't forget to get your ends cut

  • Revlon hair straightener?

has anyone used the revlon stylix hair straightener? it is white with one inch red plates. will it make my coarse african american hair silky and bouncy?Revlon hair straightener?
I've got a few African-American friends with curly hair who swear by my Chi. It's expensive (usually about $100 or $150) but if you consider that you're spending $20-$40 on less effective straighteners several times, it pays for itself. And I've had mine for about four years!Revlon hair straightener?
no i do not think it will. i would suggest bayliss. it is a brand that straighens like a charm! my cousin has very curly hair and it even works and makes her hair as straight and soft and cool as it could ever go.
no i doubt i would my friend right is spanish and she has african american hair and she uses this straightener named chi and now her hair is silky smooth!

Does anyone use this Revlon hair straightener?

    http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a>

    -Does it work well?

    -Is it super hot?

-Does it have numbers so you can set how much heat you want?

-Was it worth your money?Does anyone use this Revlon hair straightener?
I used it for about a month and my hair got very damaged even on low it gets too hot and i don't thing its really ceramic.because the silver plates started to fade, i used heat protector and still got split ends.

go to folica.com and look for a straightener there, i know u said u don't want a chi but its worth your money seriously and this website has them cheap!Does anyone use this Revlon hair straightener?
I'm not sure about that one... I used to have a Chi and I loved it until it died and my hairdresser told me about this one:

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d鈥?/a>

and I love it. I looked up yours and it gets great reviews. Give it a try... if you hate it, return it.
    i recommend chi instead.

    Chaoba or revlon hair straightener?

i'm planning on buying a hair straightner..Which one is better chaoba or revlon? (these are da only 2 available). Also, pls tell me which model?

Should I go in for one with lcd temperature controller?Chaoba or revlon hair straightener?
i dont know about the other one but DEFINATELY not Revlon. I bought a Revlon one and it sucks!!!!!!Chaoba or revlon hair straightener?
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd and Chameleon. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Remington, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap drugstore brands that tend to cause hair damages. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Flat Iron Hair Straighteners FAQ ======

Q: What size should I choose?

A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).

Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?

A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

    revlon

Is revlon hair straightener a good choice?

It depends on how much u are willing to pay for a hair straightner. I have a revlon mine works well but I put redken straighten gel in my hair also. If u have some money to spend I would go for a Hot Tools straightner they work awesome and the are not too expensive. Is revlon hair straightener a good choice?
I have had a Revlon and i do not recommend it. It is a decent one. But my hair is very curly and frizzy and to get the job done you might need a more expensive one. If you are willing to spend money on a straightener i recommend a chi straightener.

    By the way

what ever straightener you get make sure to buy HEAT PROTECTION so your hair wont frizz. Is revlon hair straightener a good choice?
    its decent.

i have frizzier hair and so it takes a bit more heat to straighten but it did a good job.

I bought a revlon hair straightener and when i turned it on it smelt like burnt rubber.?

has anyone had this problem?I bought a revlon hair straightener and when i turned it on it smelt like burnt rubber.?
There is a thin plastic cover on the iron. Some you have to peel off (when its cool, of course) and some burn off in use. Check in the instructions, mine said that its completely normal for there to be a smell and or smoke when its coming off.I bought a revlon hair straightener and when i turned it on it smelt like burnt rubber.?
Try turning the temperature down :)

People that have a REVLON hair straightener: Is it really good?

i heard it's the second best brand to CHI... do you have one? is it really good, does it work, did it ever break? any troubles? how much was it? is it worth the cost?People that have a REVLON hair straightener: Is it really good?
I have a Revlon now. It is okay. I used to have a hot tools so I got spoiled. The good thing about the Revlon straightener is that it is inexpensive less than $30. If I turn mine up on the highest heat it will straighten ok. It is very durable. I have dropped mine several times. If you get a chance try Hot Tools Ceramic it is hard to find but worth it.People that have a REVLON hair straightener: Is it really good?
I had one and i hated it, it totally fried my hair made it feel all dry, nasty, and it broke after about 2 months.
I have tried Revlon's flat ironers and it is ok. The heat doesnt go really high and the revlon flat ironer had broke because one of the buttons were too hard to turn. So I'd say no, Revlon is not second best compared to the chi.

but now i have switched to wigo jade flat ironers and it is inexpensive but the best i have used. I had it for about 5 months now. The heat is good, the buttons work, and it really straightens my hair

you can buy it at big lots for $20
I swear by my chi. All the other brands that I have ever purchased...Revlon, Conair, remington,....don't come close in comparison..AT ALL. If you're really unsure, ask your hairdresser. They will be able to suggest a good product that doesn't come near the price.
I have a Revlon straightener though I'm not sure what model it is.

I have blonde fair short razor cut hair and it seems to work alright, though it doesn't get all the kinks out of it. My hair has curl in it so I do have to blow dry it straight prior to using the iron.

If I had a choice of buying this or the professional iron they use at my salon, I'd buy the professional one for sure.

  • What do you think of Revlon hair straightener?

I'm talking about the 1 inch plates with tourmaline/ nano ceramic..

Any one tried it before. Does work well with long thin curly hairWhat do you think of Revlon hair straightener?
    yep, they are good

    revlon is good

if your hair isnt thick and coarse, any ceramic straightener should be goodWhat do you think of Revlon hair straightener?
i've been through 3 types of straightners.

the first one was conair... it was mmmkaayy i mean it was good, but not as good as i wanted it to be...

the second one was Revlon, i hate to say it, but it sucked, a lot it took forever to heat up! and it wasnt even that hot! looking back at those pictures i took (i also have curlyish/wavyhair) i was thinking wow (in a bad way) the Revlon straightner was overall the worste (im sorry but its my honest opinion) also another note, usually you get what you pay for, Revlon i got my straightner for 20$$ i mean i admit that was pretty cheap and i got baad results

my final straightner (and the one im using) is bedhead. bedhead is fantastic, its 70$$ it goes to 200'C very fast and when your finished it makes your hair shiny somehow, and i have thiiick hair. it takes me about an hour to do hair that reaches about half my back, thick, and curly. i would much rather prefer you to get bedhead

also straightning your when its wet is..... not good. i used to do it a couple years ago and nothingseemed to hapen at first but later on as i kept doing it, i practically fried my hair.. so i warn you DONT DO IT please! its somewhat okay to do it when its damp, but to get the best results do it when its dry... personally i like taking a shower, going to bed and fixing my hair in the morning!
I love revlon I think there the best straightener you can buy I have curly hair and they always work great with curly hair I don't know about thin hair just never buy conair straighteners they are the worst they only straightener your hair a little bit
thats the one I have its fantastic and a good price!
didnt even know revelon HAD them

Why doesnt my revlon hair straightener doesest work?

it costed me 24 bucks and it doesent straighten my hair flat enough, whats wrong with it? please tell me the truth. Why doesnt my revlon hair straightener doesest work?
    Hey

i have one of those, and whenever i used it

i'd do my hair in the morning and then in like 10 mins

    it'd frizzzz like CRAZZY!

and if you just look around on here about revlon they are

all the same. i guess thats how they die.

and my has a weird smell to it =S (dunno if yours does)

Butt now i have a Conair Nano Silver ( and i used it today)

and my hair is REALLLY CURLY + FRizzzy!!

And it didn't make my bangs or anything go curly

    i love it ! :)

Sh.. Don't tell my b.f :) Why doesnt my revlon hair straightener doesest work?
    Oh dear,

Thats why I never recommend anyone to go with cheap products. If you could add another 50 bucks, you would have been a happy camper.

Check all straighteners here .. http://www.ironhairstraightener.com

Go for a Ceramic or Tourmaline Hair straightener.

Tourmaline is a great element which is well known for its natural negative ions. It straighten your hair while restoring the shine and healthy look.

Straightening hair with a good straightener is fun because you end up creating wonderful hair styles.

Please stop using that Cheap Straightener Immediately. Otherwise, you will end up over-heating your hair and with time you will lose all the shine and health of your hair.
    WEll wt i usually do

    1.Turn it On..

    2.Put the temperature pretty high

3.And well yuo starighten yuor hair and it doesnt straight good enough then like slowly straighten yuor hair ..SLOWLY..Here is a video tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzKNk-X_8鈥?/a>
Yeah, my first straightener was a Revlon.

I hated it. My hair would never get straight enough or always kept getting pulled out. It's just the brand of the straightener. Revlon's really not that good with hair products..
Honestly, because it's a cheap flat iron. They just don't work as well as salon quality ones.

I have a Chi... and I highly, highly recommend it.
If you want good results, you really have to pay for it.
    Its cheap!
is the heat turned 2 high?

Are Revlon hair straighteners better or Con-air ones?

I want a really good hair staightener for my hair. Which brand is better? Are Revlon hair straighteners better or Con-air ones?
well revlon definetly better than conair but my fave are chi straightnersAre Revlon hair straighteners better or Con-air ones?
I think that Revlon (ceramic is better)...they're a little more expensive than Con-air..But Con-air curlers are better that Revlon's

none, they're both cheap quality, they will fry ur hair, they don't give good results, and they won't last u very long.

    try the maxiglide!

if u don't mind spendin a few bucks more than plz try this straightener! it seriously saved my life. i'd probably be hiding under a rock if i didn't have it.
I have both....the revlon ceramic is better but, if you can afford it i would save up for a chi (even an older model) they work so well!
    Conair is one word!!!!

Do revlon hair straighteners work in all voltages?

i bought it in us (110 volts) would it work in 220 (india) volts?Do revlon hair straighteners work in all voltages?
It wont work without a voltage adapter.Do revlon hair straighteners work in all voltages?
    DONT DO IT

DON'T DO IT DONT DO IT

my aunt bought a chi, took it to india, plugged it in, and it blew.

    $200 gone to waste.

Don't do it, unless you get one of those adapter cord things.
Give it a go, but you might get a very unexpected new hair-do.
